America’s National Parks have three “fee free weekends” this Summer. This includes Acadia National Park in Maine, and also Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in New Hampshire.

  • June 20-21, 2009
  • July 18-19, 2009
  • August 15-16, 2009

  1. I am bringing a motorcoach group to the Kangamagus Highway. Do we need a parking pas to stop at the scenic overlooks and the covered bridge? We won’t be hiking or swimming. This is a senior adult group. Thanks

  2. Vicki, you must mean the WMNF Recreation Pass, not the national parks fees. The WMNF Rec Pass is probably misnamed since it’s _really_ a parking pass. It’s called a recreation pass, but you need to display it to _park_ regardless of what you actually are doing. See this link for more details, and possible changes: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/white_mountain/passes/.

    Btw, HAVE A GREAT TIME! It’s the Kanc’s 50th anniversary. :)
