I have been reading that the Mount Agamenticus region is also one of the fastest growing regions in Maine. Rapid development and urban sprawl are threatening habitat, recreation and the region's quality of life.

Went back today (10/5/08) and it was packed on the Mountain! The Mountain Rd had many cars parked at the bottom of the trails and along the road up to the summit the lots were full as well as the summit parking area. We saw many hikers of all ages as well as many groups with dogs. It was nice to see others stop and move to the side and leash their dog as well. The leaves are changing and the views beautiful.
