Wells Reserve - Birding

Wells, Maine

Overall Experience:
I have visited Wells Reserve twice. My first visit was generally unproductive for birding. It was an early April visit, smack dab in the middle of the day. The walk was still amazing. The trails at the Reserve are well kept and easily marked. There were even some snow patches left in the wooded areas. The overall experience was very enjoyable.

The second time I visited was in July of 2001 around 1:00 PM. It was a mostly cloudy, 80 degree afternoon. Eric and I found it to be pretty active on this visit. What a wonderful way to celebrate the 4th of July!
