- Description
- The parking lot is opposite the Trailhead. However, in the winter a gate prevents access across the covered bridge by car. You will need to park in the lot before the bridge and walk the extra distance.
- Snowshoeing was moderately easy with some gradual climbs and a few steep pitches. The ledge lookout can have great views of MT Chocorua but the day we were there it was foggy and rainy.
- If you get a brochure from the Saco Ranger Station, or from the trailhead, you can read along at numbered stations and learn about the formation of the soil and the forest.
