Description
Squam lake is a remote country lake. It is 6,675 acres with 65 miles of shoreline and 67 Islands.

Squam Lake
Squam lake holds salmon, rainbow trout, lake trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pickerel, white perch, yellow perch, hornpout, whitefish, cusk, and smelt. Squam has great numbers of landlocks in the 19-inch and 2.5-pound size range or more.

Good bets for trout or salmon in Big Squam are trolling a fly or drifting live bait around the tributaries. Lake trout can be found near the surface just after ice out, but retreat deeper as the Summer approaches. For smallmouth, try a crayfish pattern. There is lots of grass and structure to fish around.

Max Depth is 98 feet.
