Snowy Owl Sightings happening now in Northern States

Seen any snowy owls lately?

According to Audubon, Northern States are seeing an irruption of snowy owls.

I had to look up irruption: To increase rapidly and irregularly in number (according to the free dictionary).

I remember seeing my first Snowy owl in Portland, ME. My wife and I had been reading about sightings near Back Cove and we walked the Back Cove trail in the evening. The owl actually flew right over us and perched on something near the water. It was amazing.

Check out eBird and see if there is an owl sighting near you.
